Our team

People are at the heart of everything we do. Behind every meal is a passionate team that deeply believes that nourishing children also means nourishing the future of our community.

Our Cheffes

They are the true pillars of Racine Pop.
Every day, they cook with care and creativity, highlighting fresh, local ingredients. But their role goes far beyond the kitchen:

  • They are the ones who serve meals directly to the children.
  • They know each child’s name, tastes, and small preferences.
  • They create a climate of trust where children feel comfortable discovering and tasting new flavors.

Thanks to them, the cafeteria becomes a place of warmth, enjoyment, and food discovery.

My name is Marie-Eve and I’ve been living in Sutton for 18 years.
At first, I was drawn to the peaceful scenery and the long walks in this generous nature and I soon fell in love with our village’s open and diverse community.

I’m a mom of three grown boys, two of whom attended Sutton Elementary.
I’m starting my third year as a cook with great joy! It’s a privilege to spend my days with the children, and a real pleasure to cook meals that fill their happy little bellies!

Many parents and students know me as Tosca’s mom. My daughter graduated from the ETSB side of École Sutton School this past June. As the mom of a child with special needs, being a voice for her and for others like her will always be important to me.

I served as a parent representative on the Governing Board for most of Tosca’s years at Sutton School on the ETSB side, and I also spent several years on the SEAC (Special Education Advisory Committee) as the parent representative for Sutton School at the ETSB in Magog.

The love, support, and connections we experienced during our years at École Sutton School from this amazing community are part of the reason why I am joining the Racines Pop team. I want to give those same things back to our community as a way of saying thank you.

I look forward to seeing the students and adults, and to being one of the reasons that make them smile this year.

Kitchen Team

My name is Marie-Hélène, and I am one of the cooks at Racines Pop. I am delighted to join this wonderful community and to once again have the opportunity to cook every day for the students and the team.

Passionate about healthy, local, and flavorful cuisine, I take pride in preparing meals made with love—meals that nourish both body and soul. My goal is to offer simple, colorful, and comforting dishes that highlight seasonal ingredients and, whenever possible, the producers of our region.

I look forward to serving your children!

The Coordination Team

Behind the scenes, a very small team ensures that everything runs smoothly: connections with La Cantine pour Tous, coordination of partnerships, development of various projects related to children’s food security, and communication with families.

Their mission is to ensure that the cheffes can focus on what matters most: cooking and being present with the children.

I am the father of two wonderful daughters who attend Sutton School. In 2022, I co-founded Racines Pop and have served on its board of directors ever since. I have been passionate about food and environmental issues for many years. For me, a good education begins with good nutrition—this is what Racines Pop strives to provide for all the children at Sutton School, while also encouraging and supporting the Sutton community as much as possible. For over 10 years, I have also been the coordinator of Vigilance OGM, a Québec-based organization that raises awareness and mobilizes people around the issues of GMOs and associated pesticides.
